CanPowerSkate
The Derrick Skating Club, with Pure Sk8, is offering this Skate Canada approved programming designed for developing players looking to supplement their hockey training with a specific skating program to enhance their on ice literacy.
CanPowerSkate ideally incorporates skaters/players at the “Golden Age of Learning” (ages 9-12) to enhance their skating ability by teaching technique and efficiency, for quality execution. Hockey and Ringette Players aged approximately 8-11.
Older or more advanced players will be referred to the advanced technical skating program. If your son or daughter is already a Pure Sk8 client, you will be advised as to what class is suitable for your player.
Registration is inclusive of both the ice and coaching fees. Please register by clicking on the button below.
The two fees on top of the ice fees cost that are once annual memberships. One is for the Derrick Skating Club ($50), and the other is Skate Canada ($44). Both fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Membership year: Sept 1 - Aug 31.
Derrick Skating Club membership fee covers off administrative and Club support offered through the year. Skate Canada membership fee of $44. When you/your child registers for a skating program at our club, you also become a member of Skate Canada, the national sport governing body for figure skating in Canada. There are many advantages that go with a Skate Canada membership such as accident insurance, access to Skate Canada programs and materials, the opportunity to participate in interclub and invitational competitions and special member prices on merchandise from the on-line store.
